Bio~ Filmmaker (screenwriter/director/producer/editor), novelist, playwright, photographer and iPod junkie! My friends are the finest people are Earth because they exhibit at least one characteristic of what I want to be. My brother and my best friend are the coolest guys on the planet only they haven't quite figured it out yet. That may be a good thing. ~ I believe that anything is possible. That we make the steps to create the momentum we need to be the best part of ourselves. Everyone has potential. Sometimes they simply need the right person to mirror back their personal greatness. We all have it, you know? ~
~ It's a fluke that I fell into writing novels. Did it on a dare and a year later I won the Delacorte Dell Yearling Award. ~ Also, Ferris Bueller was right: Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop to look around once and a while, you could miss it. ~ I believe BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER (Series) is one of the finest shows to hit TV in the last 30 years. I admit it. I watch the WB while being inspired by the French New Wave. ~
~ I've studied with a lot of amazing writers and artists who inspired me to not only be a better artist but human being. Cheesy but true. ~ I grew up in the middle of what I thought was nowhere and somehow nowhere has had some of the greatest lessons as I've lived and traveled domestically and abroad. Between basketball and tennis, I watched over 5,000 movies during the ages of 10-17. ~
~ As far as I'm concerned, PEARL JAM is one of the best bands to sustain the '90's. While TEN can maybe only be fairly matched with their latest self-titled album, there are at least three songs on every album that can make you negotiate a different view of the world.
~ I think life is so much harder for young people these days. A lot of the work I do, I hope anyway, is about making that world more digestable. ~
